Plant and Nut Oils and ZERO chemicals!

It started when I overheard a conversation at the dermatologist office where I worked. “Whatever you put ON your skin goes into your blood stream” “unless you need to, you shouldn’t put chemicals on your skin.”

This made me wonder why ALL the lotions that we use every day are full of water, alcohol and other chemicals. 

There are so many practical reasons why but none of them have to do with the health of your body or skin and everything to do with profitability. 

I would love to be able to say that Angelpaste lasts for years on the shelves but I don’t want chemical preservatives on my skin or in my bloodstream.

I would love to be able to add a free material like water into my lotion because my profits would be huge, but it would mean the lotion wouldn’t work.

Not only that, but water is actually drying which is why when you get out of the shower or pool you are supposed to moisturize. So the big lotion company knows that your skin will seem to be getting hydrated but will be chapped hours later which means you need MORE CHEMICAL LOTION. It’s a cycle I really wanted to break. I had been on the cheap lotion train before and used it every day and my skin was still dry. Not to mention the countless chemicals going into my bloodstream from the foreign factory made pink goo.

So I started testing ingredients to find out what worked. I worked for 2 years to find the perfect combination of plant and nut oils that hydrated and healed my skin and left it glowing. I tested it against other lotions and natural oils and found that it worked really well without being sticky. And because I made it myself I knew it was safe for my family.

What was more important for me what was NOT in my lotion. I researched all the possible cancer causing ingredients that do not have to be included on labels. Some of them even seem “natural” because they are derived from coconut oil like sodium lauryl sulfate. Of course, I would never use something like that in my products. I did research to find organic ingredients from farms close to my home in Texas. Vitamin rich oils, skin healing ingredients and natural protective barrier creams are expensive. So if the product is 80 percent filler and 20 percent good ingredients you won’t get the skin hydration that promotes healing and skin regeneration. 

I bought every single ingredient safe enough to eat and tested on them myself - mixed them together and, by the Grace of Almighty God, was able to come up with a natural solution. I gave it to people to try in sample bottles and people started flooding me with testimony of dry patches and irritations disappearing! I knew this was something special.

Then my genius, idea-man father, came up with the name ANGEL PASTE. He made me promise never to reveal my exact formulation because he knew that the patent laws do NOT protect inventors. It just gives license for big companies to steal and claim ownership. 

The patent lawyer was my next step. I wanted to make sure that this recipe I had worked so long formulating wouldn’t be taken from me the way Loreal stole Olaplex’s formula. Olaplex developed a hair treatment that revolutionized hair coloring. Loreal asked to come to California to consider buying the company for themselves to use in their hair color boxes. They arrived, signed non disclosure agreements, and watched how it was made. Loreal then backed out of buying it, made their own SIMILAR but not exact version and left Olaplaex in the lurch. Loreal is accused of trade secret misappropriation, patent infringement, and breach of contract:

“Following a week-long trial in August 2019, a federal jury in Delaware found that L’Oreal had willfully infringed two patents for products at the core of Olaplex’s business. In addition to infringing Olaplex’s patents for its novel bonding system, a multi-step process aimed at strengthening and protecting hair, L’Oreal was found to have also stolen trade secrets from its younger and smaller rival, and breached the confidentiality agreement it entered into in connection with discussions between the two companies about a potential acquisition. In the August 2019 verdict, the jury determined that Olaplex was entitled to nearly $100 million in damages ($22 million for the breach of contract, $22 million for trade secret misappropriation, and almost $47 million for patent infringement).”

Loreal claims they never saw the unpublished patent application that was shown to them during the visit. So they are appealing the decision and “playing dumb” to delay consequences for their willful thievery.

Two American chemists worked to create something and Loreal felt they could steal the proprietary compound without having to compensate the creators. The fact that Loreal is still able to sell their similar products means that the patent system is broken and intellectual property is under attack. 

This is why after years of formulating Angelpaste I won’t reveal the exact formulation or process I use to create it. Though I’m not claiming to be a genius like these chemists by any stretch, I do feel that I should be allowed to sell my own product that I created without giving into the pressure of other lotion makers.
